Burrow Humphreys is a specialist Commercial and Corporate Insurance broking and risk management practice formed in 1997 by Roger Burrow and Steve Humphreys.

Since then the practice has grown to become one of the North of England’s most highly regarded independent brokerages.

At the heart of our philosophy is the fact that, as brokers, we provide skilled and impartial advice to the business community. It is this impartiality which is at the heart of our offering and which is becoming increasingly rare in these times of amalgamisation and standardisation.

Over the past decade a significant number of Insurance Brokers have been purchased by Insurance Companies or integrated into large Broking groups; others have joined large trading groups.

Rather than increasing choice for the consumer, our view is that this consolidation has the opposite effect.

Burrow Humphreys remains a truly independent Insurance Brokerage and, as a result, has access to an unusually wide range of Insurers. This inevitably allows us to obtain a combination of superior cover and service from Insurers at a competitive price.
